About

Hi!

I’m singer songwriter, vocal coach and workshop leader Steph Brown and I am based in the vibrant city of Brighton UK.

I run The Good Vibe Choir; a fun, friendly, non-auditioned choir open to all those who love to get their voice out. For our Brighton Choir We have a capacity for 75 people for which I aim to provide a relaxed environment where you de- stress whilst singing irresistible pop both retro and contemporary.

We are accompanied by exceptional guitar playing from fellow choir colleague Kev Minney, and for The Brighton Choir we perform termly showcases where we invite professional session musicians to be our live backing band for the night!

Three times awarded by Arts Council England I bring my artistic experience and passion to The Good Vibe to help you build confidence, meet new people and have a cathartic sing-song.

What do we sing?

Being a professional vocal coach I use my experience to pick songs that feel great to sing.

At the end of term we ask our choir members to recommend songs for the next and I write the arrangements myself so everything we sing is an original.

We sing a large range of pop ‘classics’, old and new, from artists such as David Bowie, Beach Boys, Beyonce, Bill Withers, Lady Gaga, Billy Joel, The Kinks, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Pharell Williams, SIa. I also have a soft spot for jazzy and bluesy numbers sung by artists such as Peggy Lee, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and some times even soulful Rnb like Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill, however with so much great music to choose from these names are just the tip of the Iceberg !
